Run up to Glenn Smythe’s property at Ironbank where we will inspect the progress of his full size steam locomotive build.

A lot of work has been done since our club’s last visit. The tender is now finished and the loco is a rolling chassis (includes cab, smokebox etc.) with all motion, gears and bogie fitted.

Glenn will give an overview of what it has taken to reach this point and his plan for the future - eventually with the loco hauling trains on the Pich Richi railway. The project has been mainly funded by Glenn and it is quite staggering what he has been able to do inside his well-equipped workshop.
